Jesus replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22 37-40

What can I say when a family member is laid to rest?
What can we say when a loved one has passed away? I think that rather than try to encompass or gather the right words to say, that instead we pray. We pray for grace upon the family, peace in their heart, and loves warm embrace in this delicate transition. We need not to speak out of empathy or sympathy, but to whisper the sweet truth that we love them. Simplicity in our words and truth in our actions will present the reality of God on our lives and His love for them through it.
